The Situation
Horizon's growth problem was deceptive. Chairs looked booked, but the wrong appointments were filling them: emergency slots, no-shows, and same-day cancellations took up valuable clinical time. The website was outdated and hard to use on a phone, and each practice was difficult to find in local search, so the group depended on costly paid leads while competing with corporate dentistry. Insurance verification was done by hand, and rejected claims went back and forth for days. The owners assumed they needed more locations.
